Henry R. Lopez P.E., Architect, Senior Partner
Henry has nearly five decades of experience as a Structural Engineer, and has earned the respect of the community at large as an accomplished and proficient professional dedicated to the highest standards of technical and business endeavors. With his current Licensed Professional Engineering status in numerous states, as well as being a Licensed Architect here in Colorado, his practices have given him the most knowledgeable, varied and personal approaches to the most ranging, as well as specialized projects in the field.
Henry’s education includes these degrees from the State of Illinois:
- Bachelors of Fine Arts in Architecture
- with a Structural Engineering Major
- Master of Science in Architectural Engineering
- With a Major of Building Structures, & a
- Minor in Soils and Foundation Engineering
Henry has also chaired many state and local professional organizations, including: the Structural Engineers Association of Colorado, Boulder County Board of Review, Boulder Unit of Colorado Association of Parliamentarians and the Boulder Chapter of the Professional Engineers of Colorado.
His professional experience represents a large variety of buildings and structures including: residential, religious, educational, commercial, industrial, military, municipal as well as historic buildings. Also, his structural expertise in buildings include everything from wood design, masonry, concrete, precast concrete, steel as well as aluminum design.
Henry’s achievements have given Lopez Smolens Associates a broad and thorough approach to building design and solutions.
